DNC is partnering with Clunes Neighbourhood House to launch ACFE in their local community.
As a Learn Local, we secure funding for courses that can help you get the skills you need for study, work and life . With a focus on the individual needs of learners that can provide flexibility to meet their learning requirements. This allows learners to successfully go on to further training, gain a qualification or get a job.
Courses have been developed by Clunes Neighbourhood House, ensuring they meet local needs and will be delivered using local tutors.

Cardio and Strength Training (Round 2)

A 12-week program of exercise with three 30-minute sessions each week (18 hours with an additional 2 hours for fitness assessments undertaken before, during, and at the end of the course: 20 hours overall). Adjustments are made for each learner, with modifications made to exercises in accordance with learner ability. Sessions begin with light cardio work and gradually introduce a range of exercises designed to strengthen and build muscle (core and resistance exercises using dumbbells and sandbags).

Mobility, Strength and Balance (Round 2)

A 12 week program of exercise with three 30-minute sessions each week (18 hours with an additional 2 hours for fitness assessments undertaken before, during, and at the end of the course). Adjustments are made for each learner, with modifications made to exercises in accordance with learner ability. Sessions start with easy movements, using a chair (seated or for balance).
